The human experience is a tapestry woven with threads of the tangible and the intangible. Among the latter are psychic powers, extrasensory abilities inherent in each of us, waiting to be awakened and developed. These abilities extend our perception and understanding of the world, providing insights beyond the reach of our five senses. Often, we unknowingly rely on these powers, trusting our intuition when making decisions, experiencing “lucky” guesses, particularly in areas where we possess skill or passion. Indeed, most people remain unaware of the potent psychic potential residing within them.

Just as a muscle grows stronger with exercise, so too do our psychic abilities flourish with practice and focused effort. These gifts can lie dormant, like seeds waiting for the right conditions to sprout. However, with conscious cultivation, they can blossom into remarkable assets.

Before embarking on the journey of psychic development, it’s crucial to understand the different facets of these abilities. While diverse in their manifestations, psychic powers generally fall under four primary categories:

  • Clairvoyance: The ability to "see" psychically, perceiving images, visions, and symbols beyond the range of normal sight.

  • Clairsentience: The ability to "feel" or "sense" psychically, experiencing emotions, sensations, and impressions that originate from sources beyond the physical realm.

  • Clairaudience: The ability to "hear" psychically, receiving messages, sounds, and information from sources beyond the range of normal hearing.

  • Claircognizance: The ability to "know" psychically, possessing a clear, intuitive understanding or knowledge of something without relying on logical reasoning or sensory input.

Each of these categories encompasses a wide spectrum of gifts and abilities, varying in strength and expression from person to person. For instance, clairvoyance may manifest as vivid dreams, spontaneous visions, the perception of auras surrounding individuals, or the ability to see images with closed eyes. Furthermore, while everyone possesses all four gifts to some degree, their relative strengths differ significantly. One person might exhibit exceptional clairvoyance and strong clairaudience, while displaying minimal clairsentience and claircognizance. Another individual may be remarkably claircognizant but possess only limited aptitude in the other areas. Discovering your personal strengths and weaknesses is a key aspect of developing your Develop Your Psychic Power!

As you nurture your psychic gifts, you will become more attuned to your inherent strengths and weaknesses. It’s important to cultivate all of your psychic gifts, because they all have the potential to expand and grow. You may even find that with a little focused effort, what you once perceived as your weakest gift can evolve into a powerful talent. To further your Develop Your Psychic Power! you need to develop these skills.

The process of nurturing your innate psychic gifts is surprisingly accessible. It is important to focus on the intention to progress and the dedication you invest in the process, rather than focusing solely on the exercises themselves. Strive to eliminate any sense of strain or force. Instead, envision the work you are doing as being propelled by a constant stream of energy flowing through you, rather than being forced or pushed by your own will. As you engage in each exercise, concentrate on the activity itself, rather than fixating on achieving a specific outcome. The most important thing is to enjoy the process itself. You can easily Develop Your Psychic Power!

Before embarking on psychic development exercises, it is imperative to learn how to protect yourself. Protection is a crucial aspect of any endeavor in life. Just as you would equip a child with the skills to cross a street safely before allowing them to walk to school alone, so too must you learn to safeguard yourself as you venture into the realm of psychic abilities. Mastering these protection techniques will ensure that your journey is both safe and rewarding. For successful Develop Your Psychic Power! you need to be protected.

The Importance of Protection

The world we inhabit is a complex tapestry of positive and negative energies. It is a place where violence, hatred, and prejudice exist. To some degree, we have all learned to establish boundaries that shield us from the more harmful aspects of this reality. As you develop your psychic gifts, you are essentially amplifying your ability to tune into people and energies in ways you previously could not. Therefore, it is essential to learn how to protect yourself at these new levels of sensitivity. The exercises described below are simple to implement yet incredibly potent. Remember to focus on the flow of energy running through you to create this protection, rather than relying solely on your own energy and mental strength. You can successfully Develop Your Psychic Power! with the right protection.

Protection Techniques

The Mirrorball: This visualization exercise is as powerful as it is simple. Visualize a giant, sparkling, spinning mirrorball completely surrounding you. Each time a negative thought, focus, or energy of any kind approaches, it is repelled by the blinding light emanating from the mirrorball. This is an excellent technique to employ if you spend a significant amount of time in the presence of negative or needy individuals.

Invocation of Archangel Michael: This exercise involves invoking the assistance of Archangel Michael, the powerful angel known as the protector and defender. Archangel Michael is a benevolent being who will never cause harm and will always safeguard you. To perform this exercise, simply call upon Archangel Michael, either aloud or silently in your mind. Say something like, "Archangel Michael, please come to me now! Envelop me in your powerful wings of protection, shielding me completely. Protect me from all negative or dangerous energy, now!" Ensure that your tone is clear and strong, but respectful.

These tools represent just two of the many techniques available to help you remain protected and strong as you explore your psychic gifts. As you progress in your development, you will encounter numerous other self-protection methods. I encourage you to explore and implement new tools whenever you feel guided to do so.

Further Exercises for Psychic Development

Having explored the different types of psychic ability, the importance of individual expression, and the tools for self-protection, we can now turn our attention to practical exercises designed to develop your psychic talents. These exercises will help you hone your clairvoyance, clairsentience, and clairaudience. While I have yet to discover specific practices for cultivating claircognizance, it appears to develop naturally as your other abilities grow.

Before commencing these exercises, remember to implement the protection techniques described earlier. If you already have protection methods that you find more comfortable or effective, feel free to use them instead.

After completing your practice and development session, be sure to ground yourself. Grounding refers to being fully connected to your physical body and the Earth. Working with your psychic gifts can sometimes lead to a feeling of being ungrounded. When you engage in this type of work, you raise the level of psychic light or energy flowing through your conscious mind, which can cause a sense of lightheadedness, vagueness, or disconnection. To counteract this, engage in a physical activity. Wash dishes, eat a meal, dance to music with a strong bass beat, or step outside and walk barefoot on the earth. These simple actions will help you reconnect with your body.

Assessing Your Current Abilities

The first exercise is designed to help you assess your current skill level in each of the four psychic areas. Please do not place excessive emphasis on the results of this exercise. Instead, use it as a general guide to understand your current strengths and weaknesses.

In the Kitchen: Engage your imagination fully, and approach this exercise in whatever way feels most natural to you. Ensure that you are comfortable and will not be disturbed. Relax and enjoy the experience.

Imagine yourself in a beautiful kitchen with a large picture window overlooking a lovely forest. See the trees swaying in the gentle breeze, watch as kookaburras land in a tree and begin to cackle. Your attention is drawn back into the kitchen by the heat on your leg. You remember that you are baking a chocolate cake!

Just as you remember, the aroma of chocolate cake fills the air! Nothing is quite like the smell of baking to make your stomach rumble! Then, the buzzer or bell goes off on your oven. You grab oven mitts and open the oven door, careful to avoid the rush of steam. You take out the cake and place it carefully on the bench. After it has cooled, you tip it out on the rack and decorate it in whichever way you wish, with icing sugar, cream, or frosting.

Now, you have this beautiful chocolate cake, and you just have to have a piece. Get a knife and cut into it. Watch (and smell) the steam rising from the freshly baked cake. Pick up your piece and take a bite. It is the most perfect chocolate cake you have ever tasted!

When you are ready, return to the room, wiggle your fingers and toes to bring your consciousness fully back into your body.

Consider the following questions:

  • How vividly could you see the kitchen, the forest, and the cake?
  • How strongly could you smell the chocolate cake?
  • How strongly could you feel the heat from the oven?
  • How clearly did you know what type of decorations to put on the cake?

The answers to these questions will provide insight into your more and less developed gifts. It is important to recognize that each person’s experience is unique. Don’t waste time comparing yourself to others. Instead, explore and cultivate the gifts that you possess. Release preconceived notions of what constitutes a psychic experience and open yourself to the gifts you have been given!

Exercises for Developing Psychic Abilities

Now, let’s move on to the psychic development exercises. I encourage you to practice each of these, even when you feel you are not making progress. Remember to protect yourself before starting each session and ground yourself after you have finished. If at any time you experience fear or discomfort, immediately call on God or Archangel Michael to remove you from ego (fear and darkness) and into the light.

Exercises for Clairvoyance (Clear Psychic Seeing)

  • Seeing Colors: Begin by visualizing colors. Imagine seeing sky blue, magenta, red, emerald green, and so on. If you have difficulty, buy colored cardboard from a local store. Focus on one color for a while, then close your eyes and imagine it. Imagine an object that color, or your house painted that color. Strive to become proficient at visualizing various colors.

  • Seeing Auras: Once you are comfortable with colors, you can move on to seeing auras. Think of someone you know. Using your imagination, answer these questions: If you could see that person’s aura around their head, what color(s) would you see? Remember, there’s no pressure, no one needs to know what you are doing. This is purely for the exercise. Keep moving around their body, imagining what colors you would see there. Practice this with people you know and those you don’t, like celebrities. Practice it on TV personalities while watching television. Before you know it, you will be fluent in aura speak!

Exercise for Clairaudience (Clear Psychic Hearing)

It is important to understand that psychic hearing, although sometimes experienced as physical hearing, is often perceived as thoughts or words in your head. Receiving messages and writing them down has been a tool for healing and guidance.

  • Archangel Michael’s Messages: Have a pen and paper ready. Get comfortable and ensure that you will not be disturbed. Perform your protection exercises. Call Archangel Michael and say, "What would you have me know right now?" Then open up and wait for an idea, feeling, or thought to pop into your head. As soon as it comes, don’t judge it, just write it down. Once you’ve written it down, see if there is any more. You can ask questions to clarify what you are being told. If the message seems critical or negative, ask Archangel Michael to take you out of ego and into the light. If it is loving, positive, and empowering, then it is coming from a Higher Place. If it is negative or disempowering, then it is coming through ego and can be discarded. Keep practicing.

Exercise for Clairsentience (Clear Sensing)

This exercise is designed to help you tap into other people’s emotions.

  • Empathy Exercise: Go to a public place, such as a coffee shop. Having protected yourself, take a seat where you are unlikely to be disturbed but have a full view of the surroundings. Choose a waiter. Focusing on them, imagine what they are feeling. Are they enjoying their day, or are they feeling frazzled and tired? Do you think this is their only job, do they have children, are they studying at university, do they have a partner, are they social or private people, shy or outgoing, and so on. Just explore who they are. Ensure you are using your imagination and aren’t pressuring yourself. Practice regularly, and you will see a definite improvement in your ability to tap into people. Complete the session with these cleansing practices and then ground.

Cleansing Practices:

  • Cutting Cords: Imagine cords attached to you and the people you have worked with. See a giant sword slicing through all cords.
  • White Light Shower: See a running shower of sparkly white light. Step under it and watch as dark energy washes off you and down the drain.

These exercises are a gateway to developing your innate psychic abilities, gifts meant to support your journey through life. When you embrace and utilize these gifts, life becomes more fulfilling.
